about
Vsaleth Art is the catharsis of multi-media artist Alicia Dickerson, from and based in the Philadelphia region.
Alicia has been drawn to the art world from a young age, and couldn't quite shake off the need to create. She has never been one to confine herself to one artistic outlet, and therefore she is always exploring new ways to express herself. Alicia has dabbled in as many art mediums and styles as she could get her hands on, and has no intention of stopping anytime soon. She has tried her hand at many different mediums, leaving behind a unique style and mark on everything she'd create.
One medium in particular rejuvenated her love for art and subsequently launched her into an addiction: acrylic pouring. Alicia fell in love with the freedom that came with it and how every painting was a happy surprise. She quickly added her own twist to the conventional by expanding what surfaces to use, other than canvas. From drink coasters to shoes, she has welcomed an impulse to adding color and creativity to everything she touches.
Alicia has also intertwined her artistic abilities with her musicianship by reviving used drum heads, guitars and basses, and their pickguards. She has done various instrumental commissioned pieces for clients both in the U.S. and internationally. She has been a featured artist at multiple Philly Art Collective shows and has artworks on display at the Philadelphia Folksong Society.
Currently, Alicia is building on her works by experimenting with multi-media elements to her acrylic pour paintings, such as origami, stone, and feathers. She has also begun to venture into the graphic art world by digitally integrating her acrylic pour paintings. Alicia's future plans include planning a solo art exhibit, vendoring at upcoming art and music festivals, collaborating with local artists, and expanding her artistic range even further past the confines of canvas.

Duality: music & art show
On June 7th, 2019, Alicia collaborated with local mixed-media collage artist 4StoriesUp (Lexi Jones). Putting their creative minds together, they birthed the First Friday event Duality: Music & Arts Show at Philly Art Collective. Alicia and Lexi collaborated on 6 artworks that featured both Alicia's acrylic pouring style and Lexi's intuitive and eye-catching collages. The show also featured live beats by Lexi's husband DistantStarr, and an acoustic set by Alicia's band, At Best. A majority of the pieces were sold that night, as well as many of both artist's respective artworks. Both artists stepped into unknown territory putting on their own duo show, but the night ended up a success; they enjoyed every second of it and are looking forward to organizing a future show together again.
